Read independence and technology ecosystem.

Casestudy’s on this site are composite worked examples unless an NDA reference is shown. Named references are available under NDA.

When to call us in

Early — while requirements are still writable. We help buyers articulate RF honesty and success criteria so your delivery SOW is testable. Late-stage rubber-stamping of a brochure architecture is not a good fit for either side.

How engagements are structured

Clear RACI: TRACIO stays advisory and programme governance; you remain OEM or delivery SI. Joint workshops produce a buyer-owned specification — not a brochure architecture with our logo rubber-stamped on it.

Live-floor pilots and gate-driven SOWs reduce change orders. When RF risk appears, we surface it early so neither side inherits a blame cycle. Read independence and technology ecosystem.

Partner buying criteria

Buying criteria SIs and OEMs should apply when choosing an advisor

Partners succeed when the buyer's locating programme is governable — clear requirements, honest RF, scoreable vendors and clean commercials. Criteria for bringing in an independent advisor:

  • No channel conflict — the advisor must not resell competing RTLS, RFID or AMR lines against you.
  • Buyer-side artefacts — RFP, TCO, architecture and gate criteria that make your delivery safer to sponsor.
  • RF and integration honesty — site truth early so your SOW is not blamed for physics.
  • Clear commercial boundaries — who earns what; no surprise 'advisory' that is actually a competing bid.

Big consultancies may compete for the SI role. Hardware vendors may pull you into their stack. An independent locating advisor should make your delivery clearer — not steal the basket.

Failure modes

Failure modes in partner-led locating deals

  • Advisor quietly taking hardware margin while claiming neutrality.
  • Requirements written as a single-vendor spec that collapses under audit.
  • SI held accountable for accuracy the radio physics never supported.
  • Scope creep from 'map' to full MES integration without a change order path.
  • Executive sponsor confusion about who owns success criteria.
Questions before teaming

Questions partners should ask before teaming

  • Do you sell or resell RTLS hardware, RFID consumables, software platforms or AMRs?
  • Will you score vendors — including our OEM principals — with disclosed methodology?
  • How do we split SOW: advisory vs design-build vs run?
  • What gate model do you use so the customer can exit without blaming the SI?
  • Can you support multi-country delivery with local RF and privacy constraints?
Onafhankelijk advies

How TRACIO differs for partners

TRACIO does not take hardware margin and does not field an AMR or platform SKU. We bring buyer-side locating architecture, RF surveys and programme gates that make SI and OEM delivery easier to defend. Engagements are structured so your commercial relationship with the customer stays clean.

Partnership risks

Where SI and OEM partnerships break on locating deals

Locating programmes fail commercially when roles blur. If an 'advisor' also resells RTLS hardware or AMR fleets, the SI becomes a channel competitor overnight. If requirements are copied from one OEM brochure, procurement audits and second-source strategies collapse. If RF physics was never surveyed, the integrator inherits accuracy blame that belongs to design.

Healthy teaming keeps buyer-side architecture and seller-side delivery distinct. The advisor locks KPIs, gates and scorecards; the SI/OEM delivers install, integration and support against those gates. Change orders stay explicit when scope moves from maps to MES write-paths or multi-site rollouts.

International programmes add privacy and spectrum variance — partners need an advisor who can encode those constraints into the SOW instead of discovering them at go-live.

Co-delivery

What good co-delivery looks like with TRACIO

We disclose that we take no hardware margin. We will score OEM principals with a transparent matrix. We produce RF surveys and integration designs your delivery teams can execute. We help the customer exit a failed gate without turning the SI into the villain — because success criteria were written before the cable pull. That is how locating programmes stay sponsorable for everyone in the room.
