Regulatory and compliance fit
France locating programmes have specific regulatory considerations. CE marking under the EU Radio Equipment Directive. Hardware must also respect the ETSI power limits for the band in use. Healthcare data and privacy: GDPR plus the Loi Informatique et Libertés, supervised by the CNIL, when location feeds touch clinical systems.
Staff tracking: the CNIL publishes specific guidance on employee geolocation, and consultation of the comité social et économique (CSE) is required before a staff-facing system is deployed. Code du travail worker-safety obligations (INRS guidance), overlap with lone-worker and restricted-zone RTLS.

Yes, if the system can locate people rather than only assets. The CNIL expects a defined purpose, proportionate precision and retention, worker information, and CSE consultation. We design the accuracy budget and retention policy around that in stage 1 rather than retrofitting it after a pilot.
Can you support French public-sector procurement?
Yes. We guide on requirements, evaluation criteria and supplier scoring for tenders published through PLACE and BOAMP, and for purchases routed via central bodies such as UGAP. We can sit on the buying side without a conflict.
How do you handle CE marking and radio compliance?
RTLS and RFID hardware sold into France must carry CE marking under the EU Radio Equipment Directive, and readers must stay inside the ETSI power and duty-cycle limits for the band. We verify both during supplier evaluation in stage 1, because a reader configured for a non-EU power table will pass a demo and fail an audit.
