Pricing: how engagements are priced

Fees agreed in writing after scoping for scoped deliverables, day-rate or retainer for ongoing governance, and outcome-based fees on full programme delivery. Every fee is confirmed in writing after a free 30-minute call, and if there is a fit After the call, you get a written proposal with the price.

Independent

We don't sell hardware, so our advice stays independent. We sell our time and our work: independent advice and, when you want it, installation, rental equipment and managed services.

Hardware you buy direct

Fees exclude hardware, software licences, third-party costs and travel & expenses. You buy hardware and software licences direct from your chosen supplier, on your own contract.

What drives cost

What moves a fee up or down

  • Number of sites. Extra sites add survey, design and acceptance work.
  • On-site RF survey. Whether the work needs measurements on your floor, under production load.
  • Security constraints. Air-gapped or access-restricted estates.
  • Integration depth. Integration into more than one system of record.
  • Device count. For installation, the number of anchors, readers or locators the design justifies.
  • Level of cover. For managed services, the service level and response times you choose.
  • Commercial complexity and scope. For programme rescue, how much renegotiation and re-delivery is needed.
  • Travel. On-site survey and workshops are part of most programmes. Travel is agreed up front.

What you keep if you stop at a gate: the artefacts from that stage (requirements, scored shortlist, TCO, RFP pack, pilot criteria).

Common questions

Pricing FAQ

Why do some service cards say “Scoped on a call”?

Fees are project-based and confirmed in writing after a scoping workshop and project analysis. Where a service has no published range, the fee depends too much on scope to quote in advance. Indicative ranges for the most common engagements are shown above and on How we work & fees. After the call, you get a written proposal with the price.

Is the scoping call free?

Yes. The first 30-minute call is always free of charge and free of obligation.

Do you sell or resell hardware?

No. Our recommendations are driven only by what fits your use case.

What is not included in the fee?

Hardware, software licences, third-party costs and travel & expenses. You buy hardware and licences direct from the supplier, on your own contract, and travel is agreed up front.

What if we stop after one stage?

Every programme runs against clear gates. If you stop at a gate, you keep the artefacts from that stage, such as the requirements, scored shortlist, TCO, RFP pack and pilot criteria.

Can we start small?

Yes. You can start with a short discovery stage or advisory block, scoped and priced for your project, and expand once there is a clear business case.

Which currencies do you quote in?

We can quote in GBP, EUR or USD.

What language are engagements run in?

English by default. We work worldwide and can run engagements in your language.
