Spain industries we cover
Manufacturing: Spanish automotive corridors and industrial plants (WIP, returnables and yard flow).
Healthcare: SNS and private healthcare networks.
Logistics and 3PL: container ports (Valencia, Barcelona, Algeciras), 3PL networks, e-commerce fulfilment, cold chain.
Defence: defence and public-sector facilities and contractors.
Retail: apparel item-level, grocery DCs, store operations.
Energy and utilities: energy and utilities sites across Spain.
Regulatory and compliance fit
Spain locating programmes have specific regulatory considerations. CE marking under the EU Radio Equipment Directive. Hardware must also respect the ETSI power limits for the band in use. Healthcare data and privacy: GDPR plus the Spanish data protection act (LOPDGDD), supervised by the AEPD, when location feeds touch clinical systems.
Staff tracking: locating people at work engages both GDPR and the Estatuto de los Trabajadores; consultation with the comité de empresa is expected before a staff-facing system goes in. Ley 31/1995 on the prevention of occupational risks (INSST guidance), overlaps with worker-safety RTLS deployments.
Esquema Nacional de Seguridad (ENS) and NIS2 as transposed in Spain, increasingly required for public-sector and supply-chain procurements. We design for these in stage 1. See GDPR & RTLS: the employee-tracking question.
Spain suppliers and integrators
Most global RTLS, RFID and AGV/AMR suppliers have Spain presence directly or through resellers and integrators. Suppliers with a strong Spain presence include Impinj, Zebra, Honeywell (RFID); Quuppa, Aruba (BLE-AoA); Sewio, Ubisense (UWB, with Ubisense headquartered in Cambridge); MIR, Geek+ (AMR).
How we engage with Spain clients
Remote scoping engagements run from anywhere. Stage 1 rarely needs on-site visits. For stage 2 (pilot) and stage 3 (production rollout), we visit regularly.
We coordinate with your chosen suppliers and integrators for deployments spanning Spain and continental Europe. Engagements run from 4-week scoping reviews to multi-year programme guidance.

Frequently asked questions
Do you work with SNS and private providers directly?
Yes, directly with SNS hospitals and private providers, with regional health procurement, or via public-framework agreements. We have experience navigating Spanish public procurement and health-data compliance for connected RTLS systems.
Do you work under Spanish public procurement frameworks?
Yes, we support public and private procurement routes in Spain. Framework participation depends on the buyer’s route to market. We guide on requirements.
Do you cover Portugal and the wider Iberian market?
Yes, Spanish programmes are the core of this page, and we support Iberian scopes that include Portugal when the same operating model applies. Engagements stay independent; on-site work in Spain is scheduled against need, with remote scoping available from day one. Client names stay under NDA / anonymised case policy.
Do you work across the autonomous communities?
Yes. Health procurement, industrial permitting and works-council practice differ by autonomous community: Catalonia, the Basque Country, Madrid and Andalusia in particular. We scope to the community the site sits in rather than apply a national template. Tenders run through the Plataforma de Contratación del Sector Público and the regional platforms. We can sit on the buying side without a conflict.
How do you handle CE marking and radio compliance?
RTLS and RFID hardware sold into Spain must carry CE marking under the EU Radio Equipment Directive, and readers must stay inside the ETSI power and duty-cycle limits for the band. We verify both during supplier evaluation in stage 1, because a reader configured for a non-EU power table will pass a demo and fail an audit.
