Are you really vendor-neutral?

Yes. We do not sell hardware or a software platform of our own, and we take no resale commissions, so our technology and vendor recommendations serve your outcome rather than a product we need to move.

Do you work outside the UK?

We are UK-based and work across Europe and internationally, delivering in English, German and French. Engagements can be remote or on-site depending on the work.

What does a consulting engagement include?

Typically discovery and requirements, vendor-neutral technology selection, vendor evaluation and RFP support, ROI and business case, solution architecture, and an implementation roadmap. We scope each engagement to where you are.

Can you help after the decision is made?

Alien Technology is a privately-held US company (acquired by Ruizhi Enterprise Group in 2015, since restructured).

The portfolio covers RAIN RFID readers (ALR series), antennas, and the Higgs family of RFID chips (used in many inlays from various inlay manufacturers). One of the original commercial RAIN RFID specialists alongside Impinj.

Where they're strongest

Mid-market reader hardware and chip supply — competitively priced, technically credible. The Higgs chip series is a respected ASIC family used across many inlay brands.

For deployments where Impinj's premium pricing is hard to justify but Zebra's full portfolio isn't needed, Alien is a credible specialist alternative.
