RTLS, RFID and IoT consulting — United States.
We advise US enterprises on RTLS, RFID and IoT deployments — independent, vendor-neutral, no commissions or kickbacks.
Industries we cover include manufacturing, healthcare (IDNs and academic medical centres), retail item-level, defence, logistics and pharma. Deployment partner network across the major US industrial regions; remote scoping engagements run from anywhere.
US industries we cover
Manufacturing: automotive (Midwest, Southeast), aerospace (Pacific Northwest, Wichita, Atlanta), food and beverage, electronics. Healthcare: large IDNs and academic medical centres; hand-hygiene compliance, asset tracking, infant protection, surgical-instrument tracking.
Retail item-level: apparel, footwear, beauty, omnichannel fulfilment. Defence: DoD facilities and contractors, supply-chain serialisation under DSCSA-equivalent regimes.
Logistics: e-commerce fulfilment, 3PL networks, cold chain. Pharma: DSCSA serialisation and aggregation, hospital pharmacy traceability.
Regulatory and compliance fit
DSCSA: US Drug Supply Chain Security Act — full enforcement live since late 2024. All prescription units require serialised identifiers; RFID supplementary for high-throughput aggregation.
HIPAA: required for healthcare RTLS connected to PHI. 21 CFR Part 11: electronic records for FDA-regulated industries.
FCC Part 15 / Part 18: device certification for US RF emissions. ITAR / EAR: defence-related deployment compliance.
State-level privacy laws: CCPA (California), CPRA, Illinois BIPA — particularly relevant for staff tracking. We design for these in stage 1. See /compliance/dscsa and /compliance/hipaa.
US vendor and deployment partner ecosystem
All major global vendors have strong US presence. RFID: Impinj (US-headquartered, Seattle), Zebra (Chicago), Honeywell, Alien (US). RTLS healthcare: CenTrak (US, market leader for hospital RTLS), Stanley Healthcare (AeroScout), Sonitor.
UWB: BeWhere, Decawave platform vendors, Apple U1 / U2 silicon. AGV/AMR: Locus Robotics (Boston), Fetch (acquired by Zebra), Vecna, 6 River Systems (Shopify). System integrator network broad across all major regions.
How we engage with US clients
Scoping engagements remote; on-site visits during pilot and rollout. Time-zone-flexible — we serve US clients from European and US business hours depending on engagement. English working language. US procurement processes (MSA, RFP, RFQ frameworks) handled standard.
US-specific case studies
DSCSA serialisation programmes at large pharma distributors; hospital RTLS at IDN scale (multi-facility, BLE-AoA + ultrasound); apparel item-level RFID rollouts at retail-chain scale; warehouse RFID at e-commerce fulfilment networks; defence-related tool control programmes.

Frequently asked questions
Are you US-based?
We are headquartered in Europe but serve US clients regularly. Engagements run remotely with regular on-site visits. We are time-zone-flexible and engage in US business hours when required.
Do you handle DSCSA compliance work?
Yes — we have advised on DSCSA serialisation and aggregation programmes for pharma distributors and 3PLs. The November 2024 full enforcement date passed; we now help clients with optimisation, partner-onboarding edge cases and audit readiness. See /compliance/dscsa.
Can you handle defence-related engagements with ITAR / EAR considerations?
Limited — we engage on US defence-adjacent supply-chain programmes within the scope of ITAR / EAR compliance. Clearances depend on the engagement; we work within those constraints. For UK MOD and European defence, broader engagement available.
Do you cover Canada from this practice?
Yes — Canadian engagements run from our North America practice. Specific regulatory considerations (PHIPA, Quebec Law 25, federal PIPEDA) handled as relevant.
What about US healthcare GPOs and IDN procurement?
We work with IDNs directly and adapt to GPO procurement frameworks (Premier, Vizient) as engagements require. We are not part of any GPO contract; clients engage us directly for vendor-neutral advisory.
