About TRACIO · Independent since day one

Independent advice. Twenty years of locating programmes. No hardware to sell.

We select, integrate and govern locating systems for industrial, healthcare and logistics teams. No reseller margin. No platform of our own. Judgement you can put in front of a board.

That depth is why we can tell you — with evidence — what will and will not work in your environment. We have sat on the vendor side of the table, so we know how the pitch is built. On your engagement, we only ever sit on yours.

UWB BLE RFID LoRa TRACIO INDEPENDENT
Independent by design

Why TRACIO exists — and how the independence holds.

Most locating programmes fail not because the radio cannot deliver, but because the buying team never had an honest second opinion in the room.

The default route — ask one or two vendors for a quote — gets you a deck tuned to their hardware strengths, and silence on the weaknesses that show up after go-live.

TRACIO is that missing voice: someone who has worked inside the vendors, knows how they price and pitch, and represents your side of the table from the first site survey to the post-launch audit.

Independence is a commercial design, not a slogan. We do not sell hardware. We do not earn referral fees, kickbacks or resale margin from the vendors we recommend. We do not have a software platform that has to win the deal.

The only thing we sell is time and judgement — strategy, vendor selection, RF site survey, architecture, programme delivery, integration, and the operational audit that catches drift twelve months after go-live.

What you get: a comparative shortlist that survives procurement, an architecture that scales past the pilot, and a programme plan the board can defend.

When delivery needs specialist engineering, we bring vetted integrators and domain experts — also with no commission and no resale obligations.

The result is what you wanted in the first place: a vendor-neutral, evidence-based path from a real operating problem to a system that pays back.

Hardware & software experience

The stacks and vendors we actually know — by name, not brochure.

Two decades of working for, with, and against the major RTLS, Passive RFID, BLE, UWB, LPWAN, and SLAM platforms. We know the strengths, the quirks, the road-map gaps, and the commercial levers.

Project scale

From a one-line pilot to a global multi-site rollout.

Simple use cases

One-line PoCs, single-zone deployments, lab feasibility, hand-held inventory cycle counts, single dock-door RFID reads. Fast-start engagements that prove the technology before the budget grows.

Mid-complexity programmes

Single-site deployments across multiple use cases, integrated with one or two enterprise systems, with phased rollouts and adoption tracking. The bread-and-butter of RTLS programme work.

Mission-critical, multi-site

Global multi-site rollouts, regulatory environments (HIPAA, IEC 62443, 21 CFR Part 11, AS9100D), multi-vendor architectures, ML-driven analytics layers, digital-twin integration, and continuous performance governance.

Why independent matters

What your vendors will not put in the proposal.

The RTLS and RFID market is full of hardware vendors and integrators with allegiances. TRACIO has neither. Recommendation, architecture and rollout plan are driven by your outcomes — not by a partner programme.

True independence

No reseller margins, no vendor commissions, no MDF. What you pay TRACIO is what TRACIO earns.

Technical + commercial

Solution architecture, hardware specification, channel strategy and contract review — one team carrying buyer, vendor and delivery perspectives.

Outcome-driven

If we cannot articulate the ROI in your numbers, we will not recommend the deployment. Quantified business cases — every time.

Inside knowledge

We have sat on the vendor side of the table.

TRACIO’s founder spent years inside RFID and RTLS companies — sales, pre-sales and delivery.

That means we know how these solutions get positioned, where a quote quietly hides cost, which “standard” capabilities are really paid add-ons, and how pilots get scoped to impress a buyer rather than to prove a business case.

We bring that insider perspective to your side of the table: what to watch for, and the questions to ask before you commit budget or sign.

Start with a conversation

Thirty minutes. No deck. Real answers.

Bring a use case, a stalled programme, or a roadmap that needs a second opinion. We spend the time on architecture, numbers, and what would actually move your KPIs.

HOW WE ARE ORGANISED

Teams, practices and every service we sell.

One independent firm. Core programme teams cover the full lifecycle; specialised practices bring deep domain delivery when the job needs it. No hardware desk. No reseller channel.

Core programme teams

The teams buyers hire for scoping, build, install, rescue and live operations.

Specialised practices

Domain practices that plug into the core teams when the programme needs regulatory, twin, OT-security or LPWAN depth.

FOUNDER & PRINCIPAL ADVISOR

Founder-led. Dylan Austin.

Dylan Austin, founder and principal advisor at TRACIO

TRACIO is led by founder and principal advisor Dylan Austin. Two decades in locating programmes — RTLS, RFID, BLE, UWB, Wi‑Fi and industrial IoT — across sales, technical sales and implementation, then independent advisory from business case through architecture, vendor selection, delivery and live operation.

The independence model comes from sitting both seats the hard way — vendor-side engineer and customer-side buyer. The right technology decisions need someone in the room who is not paid by the vendor's outcome.

On platform-build engagements, Dylan leads architecture and the client relationship personally — typically 30–50% allocation through the programme, with a vetted senior delivery team handling the build under his direction. Specialised practices (digital twin, cold-chain & pharma, OT cybersecurity, LoRaWAN) and the core programme teams (advisory, install & PMO, rescue, managed services, training) are staffed the same way: senior practitioners, founder-accountable, never a hardware sales desk.

Background — roles, industries and use cases

Before founding TRACIO, Dylan worked end-to-end across sales, technical sales and implementation — not a single silo. That means the commercial case, the RF/architecture choices and the go-live are the same person’s judgement, not a hand-off between three vendors.

Where the work ran: Europe, the Middle East, Africa, North America, South America and APAC — plant floors, hospitals, yards, dealerships, venues and training estates, not only HQ demos.

Industries & use cases shipped:

  • Aerospace, defence & MRO — tool control, WIP visibility, UWB/RFID accountability, training estates and maintenance locating
  • Automotive manufacturing — WIP / line-flow locating, just-in-sequence material movement
  • Automotive retail — dealership vehicle tracking, WIP and PDI visibility
  • Pharma & life sciences — cold-chain, serialisation, custody and regulated locating
  • Data centres — asset accuracy, dock-to-rack, change and cage visibility
  • Mining & heavy industrial — people safety, mustering, fleet and zone control
  • Sports & venues — player / athlete tracking and venue analytics
  • Logistics & industrial — yard, dock, heavy-fleet and AMR/AGV fleet orchestration; hybrid RFID + RTLS stacks
  • Healthcare & enterprise Wi‑Fi RTLS — equipment and people flow on infrastructure-led stacks

Stack depth from vendor-side roles: Wi‑Fi RTLS; Passive RFID, BLE, UWB and Active RFID; industrial UWB / fleet-manager / location OS platforms — across EMEA, APAC and global sales motions. Named employers and programme sponsors stay off this page; live TRACIO references remain under NDA.
