Procurement templates — vendor-neutral, free.
The procurement templates we use with clients on real RTLS, RFID and IoT engagements. Written vendor-neutral, free to download, structured to expose hidden costs and lock-in patterns that vendor quotes hide. Use them to challenge proposals and to budget honestly across 5 years.
Three templates, used together, cover the bulk of an enterprise RTLS or RFID procurement.

Templates available, what's inside each one.
RFP template (RTLS & RFID). Structured procurement questionnaire covering technology fit (accuracy, density, range, battery life), commercial terms (licensing,
support, SLA conditioning), integration scope (event schema, API depth, security), reference architecture and the 14-vendor scoring matrix we use on real engagements.
Vendor scoring matrix. Weighted-criteria spreadsheet for evaluating UWB, BLE-AoA, RAIN RFID, LoRaWAN and active RFID vendors against your environment and KPI.
Pre-populated with the categories that actually decide procurement (accuracy under load, install economics, integration depth, SLA conditioning, reference checks).
TCO calculator. Five-year total cost of ownership model covering hardware refresh, software licensing, integration, deployment services, calibration and managed services tail. Includes sensitivity tabs for accuracy degradation and SLA escalation clauses.
Pilot-to-rollout acceptance test plan. Pre-agreed go/no-go criteria template covering accuracy at 95th percentile under production load, integration coverage, latency, operator adoption rate and exit conditions.
RF site survey checklist. The 12-point pre-survey scoping pack we run on every engagement. See the full checklist guide.
All templates are vendor-neutral and procurement-defensible. Use them on your own; engage us if you want them populated against your specific environment.
